How to make quick and easy dry shampoo at home
I've been experimenting with the no shampoo (no poo) method. Follow my journey here. During a peak grease day, I was despirate for some way to absorb the sebum in my hair. I combined a mixture of equal parts rye flour and baking cocoa. I add a few drops of essential oil for a lovely smell. That's it. It is a quick and easy dry shampoo made from ingrediants I already had around the house.
I applied it with a make-up brush and combed it though with a wide-tooth comb. The dry shampoo did wonders for the look and feel of my hair. My hair was light and smooth. The rye flour absorbed the sebum oils. The cocoa powder acted as a colorant because I have dark hair. If you have light colored hair, you might try just the rye flour. I've also heard cornstarch and arrowroot flour work as well. Scroll down to see the before and after pictures.
